Historical research and documentation

Stathis Koutrouvidis is a graduate of the Department of History and Archeology of the University of Crete. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma from the Department of History – Archeology, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Crete (M.Sc. in Economic History) and holds a Ph.D. in Economic and Social History). He has specialized in the Greek Economic and Social History, in the Archives of the Greek Parliament, in History of the City, in European Economic History, in the History of the agricultural economy.

He taught at Panteion University during the winter semester of 2016-2017 in the postgraduate course: “Economics and Societies in the Balkans and the Greek state from the 19th to the 20th century” in collaboration with the associate professor of History Thanassis Kalafatis also supervising four postgraduate projects.

He has published a series of articles and participated in numerous scientific conferences. His book with the title: “Γενόμενος κάτοχος απεράτων καλλιεργησίμων εκτάσεων στην επαρχία Πατρών κατά τον 19ο αιώνα”, discusses the economy of currants in the area of Patras in the 19th century and the social relations built around it at the same period.

Since June 2016, he has been working as an employee in the Library of the Greek Parliament and the Department of Parliamentary Archives.
