Aggelos Antonopoulos was born in Tropea (Arkadia, Peloponnese) in 1957. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts under D. Mytaras, D. Kokkinidis, V. Dimitreas, and stage design with V. Vassiliadis. He has participated in more than twenty solo shows (Municipal Gallery of Athens, Art -Αthina Τitanium, Art Forum Tsatsis, Thessaloniki, Nees Morfes, Athens, Citronne, Poros, Apocalypse, Nicosia, T.a.f., Athens, ALMA, Trikala, Eleftherias Park, Athens, AGATHI Art Gallery, Athens, Papatzikou Art Gallery, Veria). He has also participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, such as in Cyprus, Spain, Germany, Italy, Croatia, England, USA. He has created a large-sized décor for the movie theatre Ideal in Athens and Cineak in Piraeus. Since 1989 he teaches painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts.
